In the face of Taiwan’s rapid entry into a super-aging society, elderly care technology has become a national development focus. Today (10 October), the Elderly Health Care Technology Exchange Conference was held in Taipei, co-sponsored by the National Science Council, the Engineering Science and Technology Promotion Center, the Taiwan Smart Elderly Care Innovation and Technology Industry Alliance, and the ICF and Assistive Technology Research Center of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
Among the many sharing shares, PatientsForce, an innovative company focusing on healthcare integration and AI applications, delivered a keynote speech titled “How AI Medical Solutions Can Enhance the Effectiveness of Elderly Health Care”, sharing the practical results of enhancing patient support programs through AI technology.

Wang Yiwen pointed out that with the vision of creating a “third health benefit”, PatientsForce focuses on improving patients’ accessibility to self-financed new drugs, and uses AI to introduce them into the patient’s medication journey to assist the elderly and patients with chronic diseases in the whole process of diagnosis, application, medication and long-term follow-up. The company has served more than 40,000 patients, processed more than 200,000 electronic applications, and assisted patients in obtaining more than 6 billion yuan in special drug subsidies every year, seeking treatment opportunities for patients and reducing the financial burden on families.
In terms of practical application, PatientsForce has introduced an AI image recognition system to simplify the registration process of various heterogeneous medical documents, solving the problem of relying on a large number of manual inputs in the past. At the same time, the AI voice quality management system was launched to analyze the changes in keywords and emotions in the call in real time, automatically detect warning events and report them to the supervisor, improving the response speed of customer service and the quality of patient safety monitoring.
In addition, its voice outdialing and automated notification system can achieve up to 70% automatic dialing reminder rate, and with LINE and SMS services, it assists patients in taking medication in a timely manner, reducing manual processing by 30%, allowing manpower to focus on complex case care.
PatientsForce has also passed a number of international and domestic compliance and sustainability certifications, including ISO 27001 Information Security Management, ISO 27701 Privacy Management, PSCI Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Certification, Vision ESG Corporate Sustainability Award, Digital Transformation Excellence Award, etc., demonstrating its sustainability governance capabilities that emphasize both innovation and compliance.
In addition to PatientsForce, the biomedical engineering team of Cheng Kung University, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of Yunlin University of Science and Technology, and the master’s degree program of Health and Long-term Care Industry of Chang Gung University… and so on, successively demonstrating the deep R&D strength and practical implementation potential of the National Science Council plan in the field of elderly health care.
In the future, the Engineering Technology Promotion Center will continue to promote the integration of technology and nursing, connect industry-academia cooperation platforms, and accelerate the commercial transfer and large-scale application of innovative medical technologies. Through this event, the National Academy of Sciences emphasized that Taiwan needs to make a comprehensive layout in the face of the silver wave, from intelligent care to patient support management, which is the key piece of the puzzle to build a resilient care system.
